Coronary stenting and open-heart surgery are routine at Chinese tertiary hospitals. National procurement from 2021 cut average coronary stent prices from about 13,000 yuan to 700 to 800 yuan, and over 3.7 million patients received procured stents in 2021 to 2023. Foreigners usually self-pay.
